Deborah Jean Watson, lovingly known as "Deb", gained her wings on October 11, 2024, at the age of 60, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 24, 1964, in Charleston, WV, Deb attended Chandler, Lincoln, and Stonewall schools.  She live her life to the fullest through simple pleasures—chatting with family and friends, cooking, and sharing her joy with others.  Deb loved music, she would throw house parties with the latest jams and invite all her friends.  Known lovingly as "The Pool Lady" from the North Charleston Pool, she was proud of the name and remembered every child who came through those doors.  Deb cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Phyllis Watson; and her brother, Kevin.

Deb leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by her daughter, Aleeshia "Leeshia Lee" Watson; her bonus daughter, Rashaun Poore (Charles); siblings, Jacqueline, Shelia, and Tony Watson; and her adored grandchildren, Markel Booker and Dashanti Johnson.  She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, Antoine, Tonesha, Sydni, Maylik, Omni, Ahmad, and Terrica; great-nieces and nephews, Nekari, Lyrik, Jaylen, Zymir, Leeyah, Juliana, Camille, Hakeem, Amirah, Zariah, Dalajha, Travis, and Khalik; aunts, Luwana Ward, Santina Huff, and Dorletta Ward; as well as numerous cousins and dear friends each of who held a special place in her heart; along with her special cousin, Markita Miller.

Her love and warmth touched the lives of so many.  Those whose lives Deb impacted are invited to Celebrate her Life, share stories, and find comfort together as we honor her memory and the light she brought to all who knew her.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Grace Bible Church.
