Debra Ann Jarvis, 67, of Longs, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in her home with her family by her side.
She was born on February 4, 1955, in Fairmont, West Virginia, to the late James Robert "Bob" and Mary Ruth Ramsey.
Debbie graduated from Dunbar High School in 1973 and then earned a BA Degree in Business in 1977 from West Virginia State College. She worked at the college for 30 years and retired in 2015 as the Associate Registrar.
1n June of 1999, she married Melbern Jarvis where they lived in Dunbar until 2017, before her dream to move to North Myrtle Beach became a reality. She lived there happily making many friendships before her death.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Marshall Ginestra; and her two grandchildren, Jackson Persinger and Elizabeth Persinger.
Debbie is survived by her three daughters, Christie Persinger and husband Wayne of Covington, VA, Mary Ginestra of Dunbar and Cathy Hunt and husband Chris of Hurricane; granddaughter, Peyton; and grandsons, Caleb, Blake, Carter, Dawson and Clay; and step-daughters, Lydia Dawn Robertson and husband Russell "Rob" Robertson of Sierra Vista, AZ, their daughter, Sabra Bates and husband Josh Bates, their daughter, Emberly and son Jamison, Heather Lynn Jester and her husband Charles Jester of Richmond Hill,GA and daughters, Artevia Jester, Aleshia Jester-Brown and her partner Kamryn, and Alecsia Jester and her sister, Nancy Ramsey Bock and husband Barry Bock of Annandale, Virginia.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. All of her friends and family are invited.
In lieu for flowers, the family asks that donations be made to in her name to McLeod Hospice, 3655 Mitchell St., Loris, South Carolina 29569.
