Obituary

Delbert L. Greenlee, 86, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2010 surrounded by his family at home.

He was born April 6, 1924 in Leon, WV. Delbert was one of 11 children born to Millard "Poppy" Greenlee and Pearl "Mommy" Little Greenlee. Delbert was the owner of several businesses through the years. His latest venture was co-owner of Happy Days Café, South Charleston, with his son, Terry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Mr. Greenlee is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Mapes Greenlee and their three children, Terry Greenlee, and his wife Linda of Hurricane, Sandra Eastwood, and her husband David of Hurricane, Deanna Arnott, and her husband Steve of Dunbar. In addition, Delbert is survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Vesta Harris of Dunbar; brother, Dorsal Greenlee of Dunbar.

Delbert and Norma Jean are longtime members of the First Baptist Church in Dunbar.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the team of doctors and nurses at CAMC Memorial who made it possible for Delbert to have several more years with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
