Obituary

Delmar "Jake" Harding, 90, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at home.

He was born on March 8, 1927, in Charleston, to the late Hayes and Bessie Harding.

Delmar retired from Trojan Steel Company after 34 years where he worked as a welder/fabricator. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He served as a deacon at Spencer Chapel Church for 15 years.

In addition to his parents, Delmar was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Jones and husband, David, of Charleston, Tammy L. Mabe-Good and husband, Collett, of Charleston; son Tim Mabe and wife, Tammy, of Charleston; brother, Charlie Harding and wife, Mary, of Charleston; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Travis Asbury officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
