Reverend Delmar C. Young went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2018.

He was ordained a Free Will Baptist minister on March 16, 1957. He pastored the church and served with his wife, Pearl for more than 50 years. He later retired from Moores Lumber Company.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Gladys Pearl Young ; parents, Matt Marion and Lilly May Young; brother, Darrell Young; and sisters, Doris Strickland and Julia Young.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Holstein (Jessie) of South Charleston; sons, David Young (Robin) of Chapmanville, Charles Young of South Charleston, Larry Young (Brenda), and Allen Young (Melissa); 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; brother, Rev Doyle Young of Dunbar; and sisters, Geraldine Nida of FL, and Lorene Harmon of NC.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Roe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
