Delores "Dee" Jean Head, 75, was born on January 17, 1942 in Rand, West Virginia. She was called to her heavenly home on October 18, 2017.

Delores was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Simmons, and her father, Patrick Higginbotham. She was an only child.

She attended Boyd Junior High School, Garnet High School, and graduated from DuPont High School. Throughout her career, she was employed by McJunkin Corp. and Charleston National Bank (Chase).

Delores was known for her infectious laughter and wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family and was the "glue" that held us all together. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Though she will be missed by all her knew and loved her, our memories will last a lifetime.

She is survived by her children, Michael A. Head, Robin R. Head, Darian G. and Deborah Elmore, Henry C. Hicks, and LaGretta Baker; grandchildren, Lashaneta Peoples, Aronde Brown, and Alexander Elmore; a host of other family members and friends.

In honor of our mother's final wishes, there will be no service. She has been cremated.
