Dennis Ray Vance, 81, of Dunbar passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

He was born on July 26, 1942 to Noah and Carrie Vance in St. Albans, WV.

Dennis was a graduate of St. Albans High School and had been active in the Army National Guard.  He worked for his father-in-law, Olther Womack, as a cement mason at Womack and Son Concrete.  Dennis was also a member of Union Hall Local 887 until he retired.  Dennis taught his love of fishing, hunting, and riding 4-wheelers to his grandson, Noah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie L. Vance; son, Dennis R. "RayBo" Vance; daughter, Mia Crookshanks; and brother, John Vance.

Left to cherish Dennis' memory are his grandson, who was his pride and joy, Noah Crookshanks of Dunbar; brothers, Golden Vance (Josephine), Darrell Vance (Tammy) of St. Albans and Lewis "Louie" Vance (Barbara) of Charleston.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 1, at the Upper Mausoleum Chapel in Cunningham Memorial  Park, St. Albans with Pastor David Keeney officiating.

Friends may visit from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the cemetery
