Derrel W. Bailey's Obituary
Derrel W. Bailey, 74, of Ripley passed away on January 2, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
He was born on July 29, 1939 in Riverside to Frank and Mable Bailey. Derrel served four tours with the US Army 82nd Airborne stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and served with Air America. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Besides his parents, Derrel was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Perrine Bailey.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Bailey, Sr. of Ripley, Michael Bailey of Ocala, Fla, and Jeffrey Bailey of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; sister, Thelma Steele of Citrus Springs, Fla.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10 at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
