Deven Lee Lanham, 27, of Florida, formerly of Charleston, passed away peacefully in his sleep March 28, 2021.

He was born to Annette Lanham and Lance Williams on April 1, 1993.

Deven was a former employee of the Mardi Gras Casino & Resort. He was very intelligent and referred to himself as 'the young philosopher". Deven had a smile that brought a warming to your heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby and Candy Lanham; grandfather, Jack Martin, Jr.; his uncles, Joseph and Brian Williams, and Tom Lanham; and his aunt, Sherry Lanham.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to mourn, his grandmother, April Williams-Early; step-father, Woodie Frieson; brothers, Tashawn Lanham and Lance Williams, Jr.; sisters, Savannah Jett and Malaya Williams; niece, Riley Hayes; nephew, Kenzo Williams; uncles, Bruce Williams, Daniel Pratt, Clinton Martin, Marlon Rush, Jack Martin III, Bruce and Craig Williams, Bill Lanham (Tracy), Marty Lanham; aunts, Chantel Adams, Monique Martin, Patricia Williams, Cheryl Dunham, and Gerva Coleman (Lloyd); great uncle, Jim "Wolfie" Waybright (Helen); great-great aunt, Joanne Harris; godfather, Tommy Ronk; and many, many more cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
