Dexter Shaffer, 69, of Charleston died on Sunday, October 6, 2024 after a short illness.

He was born in Charleston on January 8, 1955 to the late Dexter and Virginia Mae Shaffer.

He never met a stranger and loved to talk to people all over town.  Dexter will be greatly missed.  He loved his family beyond measure.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Wade Shaffer.

Dexter leaves behind his wife, Pamela Shaffer; daughter, Angel Shaffer; and his grandkids that he loved more than life, Avian and Gia.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
