Diana Lynn Garnes, 74, of Elkins, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2025 due to heart failure.

She was born in Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV, on February 10, 1951 to the late George Sr. and Bernice Garnes.

Diana grew up and went to school in Dunbar, WV.  She was a very caring person who loved spending time with her family, especially her nephews and niece.  Diana loved animals and always had a cat or two.  She bravely battled through difficult private struggles always with the support of her loving family.  Though times weren't always easy, she knew that she was loved and cared for by those closest to her, and showed strength through it all.

She is survived by her brother, George Garnes, Jr. (Vicky); nephews, Matthew and Zachary Garnes; and niece, Taylor Garnes Rohena.

In accordance with Diana's wishes, there will be no funeral though her family will celebrate her life privately.
