Diana Julia Strock Wallace, 87, of Charleston, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.

She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School Class of 1956 and graduated in the LPN program at Garnet Career Center in 1977. Diana worked as a nurse for many years at Charleston General Hospital, Shawnee Hills Mental Health Center, and as a medication nurse at Saint Francis Hospital. Nursing was not just a career but a calling to Diana as she was a devoted nurse and provided compassionate care to patients and her own family. Her kindness brightened the lives of her patients and all who knew her.

Beyond her career, she was a talented dancer of the Charleston Area Shag Society. She spent her happiest hours dancing the shag with her husband and many friends. Her happy place was Myrtle Beach and with her friends and shagging. She was a lifelong member of Bream Memorial Presbyterian Church. Diana devoted her time and energy to caring for her family and was always ready for the next adventure with friends. At 50 years of age she traveled the world with a friend and it was the best adventure of her life.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dorothy Strock; and her eldest daughter, Teresa Lynn Kerns.

She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 68 years, Keith Alton Wallace; daughter, Sandra Lynch (Timothy); grandchildren, Rachel Parsons (Peter), Curtis Lynch (Misty), Samatha Sassone (Salvator), Joshua Kerns; and great-grandchildren, Simon, Allie, Abrielle and Rose.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever walking the beach in our hearts.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful care Diana was given at Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston.

A memorial service for Diana will be in the Spring as a graveside service at the family cemetery.
