Diana Sue Vickers Tucker, 62, of Dunbar, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 29, 2010, at the Hubbard Hospice House.
She was a Medical Records Radiology Clerk for CAMC – Memorial Hospital and was a native of Charleston. Diana was a devout Christian and fought a long and courageous battle with brain cancer for 26 months. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Henderson and Verna Sutherland, her mother, Betty L. Moore, her brother, Ed Burgess and her son, Henderson Lee Vermillion.
Surviving are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Suzette Morrison Karnas and Joseph Karnas and family; aunt, Dorothy Ellis of Charleston; sister, Judith Michael of Charleston; brothers, Danny Vickers and wife, Barbara of Charleston, John O'Dell of St. Albans and Jerry Vickers of Charleston; grandchildren, Allison Morrison of Dunbar, Kristen Leigh Vermillion of PA, Jayda Staats of Dunbar, Juliana and Amelia Karnas of St. Albans; her loving brother and sister-in-law, Marietta and Earl Lee Vermillion of Charleston; niece, Christina Ashley of South Charleston; several other loving nieces and nephews, Gary Vermillion of Charleston, Paul Vermillion of Atlanta, Ga, Jennie Vermillion Turley of Charleston and Joshua and Victoria Bratka of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Terry Yahr officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
