Donald Wilson Lanham, 84, of Dunbar, went home to be with his heavenly father on September 20, 2018.

Donald was born on August 29, 1934 and was a 1952 graduate of Dunbar High School. After that he became a United States Army Veteran and retired as a pharmaceutical representative after 30 years. He was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church, where he was saved, baptized and served as a deacon for many years. His laughter, joyfulness and humble presence were infectious to everyone he encountered. His smile was tribute to the beauty of his heart and soul. His love and devotion to all his family will be deeply missed.

Donald was married on November 25, 1959 to his wonderful wife in South Charleston. After 58 wonderful years, he leaves her behind along with their son Robert Wilson Lanham and his wife Debra; granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Lanham and her fiancé Nathaniel Pridemore; great granddaughters, Naylee and Ayla Pridemore; brother, Bobby Casto and his wife Shirley, and many other family members and friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 24, at Fairlawn Baptist Church, Dunbar, with Pastor Joe Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, at Fairlawn Baptist Church, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston, WV. 25387.
