Dorethea "Rita" Elaine Williams, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend transitioned on March 10, 2025, to our Heavenly Father.

She was born on December 31, 1960 in France to the late Henry and Amanda Cameron.

Dorethea was a proud graduate of Charleston High School, and studied nursing at Alston Community College in Texas.  She worked as a data processing manager in Georgia and Texas for many years before retiring and residing in Charleston, WV.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Kimball Williams; son, Gregory Williams; sister, Regina McCadney; brothers, Henry Cameron and Mark Taylor; nieces, Crystal Smith, LaNika Williamson, Eboni Woodward, Jayla Glover, Chantae Williamson, Amanda Hayes, Morgan Miller, Malani Robinson, Malaya Taylor; and nephews, Dural Miller, Trey Hayes, Avery Murray, and Kam-Ren Taylor. Dorethea also leaves behind a large and loving group of extended family and friends whose lives she touched with there kindness, love, and generosity.

Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with the Reverend John Sylvia officiating.  Burial will follow in Donal C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at the church.
