Dorothy Mcneil's Obituary
Dorothy T. McNeil, 84, of Charleston, passed away on August 18, 2012 at Hubbard House, after a short illness.
Dorothy was a former employee of C&P Phone Company, and a longtime member of the Charleston Moose Lodge. She was very devoted to her family and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Shamblin Thaxton; husband, Paul Edward McNeil; son, James Scott McNeil; brothers, Norman Thaxton, George Thaxton, and Denver Thaxton; and sisters, Mary Kathleen Beaver and Helen Jones.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Ed McNeil and wife Tami of Scott Depot; brother, Dana Jordan of Stow, OH; and sister, Gladys F. Thaxton of Charleston. Also surviving are grandchild, Chrissy Orcutt and great granddaughter, Haley Orcutt.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Reverend Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers family request that memorial donations be made to
Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston WV 25312.
