Dorothy M. (Baire) Miller, 84, of Charleston, passed into the arms of the Lord at Hubbard Hospice House at 3:01 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011.
She retired from Derricks Rollarena in North Charleston. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, James B. Miller, Sr. and by her first grandchild, Lisa Marie Ralston.
She is survived by her children, daughters, Cheryl Cox and husband, Fred of Nitro, Evelyn Ralston and husband, Frank of Poca, Kathy Taylor and husband, Ralph of Dunbar and Mildred Shelton and husband, Chuck of Oak Hill; sons, James Miller, Jr. and wife, Gail of Cape Coral, Fla. and Scott Miller of Charleston; brothers, Delbert Baire of Georgia, Russell Baire of Charleston, Phillip Baire of St. Albans, Darrell Baire of Ohio and Bobby Baire of Fla; sisters, Margaret Stoddard of Michigan, Frances Vanater of Smithers and Joy Carol of Kentucky; brother-in-law, Edward Miller and wife, Pat of Bristol, TN; very special niece, Janice Thomas and husband, Ed of Ohio; grandchildren, Larry and Jeff Boggs, James Cox, Alexandrea Cox, Frankie Ralston, Brad Taylor, Melissa Browning, Chuck Shelton, Jr., Andrew Shelton, Katie Shelton, Frank William Miller, Joe Fisher and Samantha Miller; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 3 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. David Hancock officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 4 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
