Dorothy Elizabeth Scott, 87, of St. Albans, passed peacefully to be with our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, April 28, 2009.

Dorothy was born on May 25, 1921 to the late Edgar Logan Ennis and Annie Pearl Dean Ennis. She also was preceded in death her husband, Benjamin Clayton Scott, and son, Bernard Bennett.

She was a long time resident of St. Albans and a charter member of St. Albans United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed sewing clothes and quilts for family and friends. She loved working in her vegetable and flower garden. She was a beautiful and graceful lady, and good mother and friend and was loved by all that knew her.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, David Wood of Angola, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and John Martin of Nitro; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Ennis Cemetery, Meadow Bridge, at 2 p.m. Saturday.
