Douglas Matthew Feldhaus, 64, of Nitro passed away on August 13, 2016 at Thomas Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Charleston on November 4, 1951, the son of the late Bill and Phyllis Bossie Feldhaus.
Doug graduated in 1969 from Sissonville High School and served in the United States Army Infantry from 1970-1972 in Vietnam (Da Nang, Qu?ng Tr?). He worked at General Electric in Charleston for 28 years (1978-2006) at which time he retired.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Feldhaus of Saint Albans; his ex-wife, Vickie D. Feldhaus of Charleston; siblings, Steve (Debby) Feldhaus of Scott Depot, Christy (Dale) Lucas of South Charleston, Vicky (Steve) Crosier of Nitro, Bill Feldhaus of Charleston, Cathy (Howard) Daniels of Poca, Mary Estep of South Charleston, Mike Feldhaus of Arlington, Va, and Becky Feldhaus of Tampa, Fla; and many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, August 18, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Scotty Feldhaus officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
