Douglas Creed "Big Doug" Miller, 74, of Sissonville passed away on October 16, 2021 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 23, 1947 in Sissonville, he was the son of the late Manford and Josephine Miller.

He was retired from the maintenance division of the 405 Capital Building. Being a handyman was a passion in his life. It allowed him to help and instruct others.

Doug enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. He loved watching old westerns, collecting western memorabilia and traveling to the east coast of Florida with his wife, Patricia. Doug often hosted ATV rides with his family and friends, but one of his favorite things to do was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L. "Pat" Miller.

Doug is survived by his brother, James "Jimmy" Miller; sisters, Ann Nienke, Louise Painter, Kathy Casto and Kay Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Julie Miller; daughter, Kristy Lynn Miller; grandchildren, Alec Jordan, Aris Jordyn Miller, Dalton Wayne and Kailey Dawn Young.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
