Obituary

Doy Maston, 82, of Dunbar, passed away suddenly July 11, 2008 at his home.

He was a native of Ritchie County, a graduate of Harrisville High School, class of 1942. Mr. Maston was a US Marine Corp veteran of WW II and a member of the Canaan United Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Mountain State T's, Kanawha Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Country Roads T & A Club, Model T International and other car clubs. Members are invited to bring their cars to the memorial service. He retired as Service Manager with Bert Wolfe Ford Company after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Hardman, sister, Mildred Frederick and brother, Jack Maston.

Surviving are his daughter, Brenda Stokes of Sarasota, Fla., son, Phillip Maston of Dunbar; fiancée, Dorothy King of Charleston; brother, Kenneth Maston and his wife, Pauline of Charleston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10a.m., Saturday, July 26, at the Canaan United Methodist Church, 401 Roane Street, Charleston, with the Rev. Mark E. Parsons, II officiating. Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. The procession will leave the church for the cemetery at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan United Methodist Church
