Dwayne Tyrell Swafford, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 37 on Friday, October 6, 2023.

He was born in Charleston, on September 19, 1986, where he lived and enjoyed most of his life.

Dwayne was a beloved husband, son, father, brother and friend to many. He was a devoted father and husband and had a smile that could light up any room that he entered and he loved to make people laugh. Some of the things Dwayne enjoyed doing is making music and he even produced his own music as well! He was a great friend and listener and will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

Dwayne leaves to cherish is his life and wife, Jackie Swafford; mother, Bonita Yancy-Rush; sister, Angel Swafford; brother, Edward Yancy; and his six children, Dwayne Swafford, Deshawn Swafford, D'Ace Swafford, Aryanna Grubbs, Riley Warner, Tehya Warner; and four step-children, Adrian Moreno, Cierra Dunn, Carlie Giddens and Matthew Giddens.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 21 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Reverend Matthew Watts officiating.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
