E. Elaine Wilson, 68 of Dunbar passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Thomas Memorial Hospital ER Department after a long courageous battle with MS and COPD.

She was retired from Shawnee Hills Mental Health Center with 21 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wess Hammock; mother, Charlotte Toney and father, James Lawrence.
Those left to cherish her memory are; daughters and their husbands Mona and Wesley Hudson of St. Albans; Patty Wilson and Burl Thaxton of Charleston; son and his wife, Ben and Beth Hammock of Overland Park, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Lawrence of Dunbar; nieces and nephew, Michelle, Melinda and Michael all of Colorado. She also had 10 grandchildren and 1 known great grandchild. Wesley, Chastadie, Chellbie and Justine Hudson, Kayla Thaxton of which she helped to shape their lives into wonderful young adults. Grandchildren she was always thinking of; Valerie, Max, Collin and Chistopher Hammack, Amber Hammock and one great grandson.
A special thank you to Dr. Skaggs and Dr. Hively along with the nursing staff of Thomas Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for the outstanding care provided to Mom throughout her stay.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009. All are welcome to attend at Graceland Memorial Park.
