Earl D. Hatcher's Obituary
Earl D. Hatcher, 85, of Vinton, VA formerly of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2014.
He was a member of Vinton Baptist church and before moving to Vinton he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charleston. He liked wood turning and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Ercel Hatcher; daughter, Marilyn Jean Hatcher; three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sue Hatcher; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Earl and Cathy Hatcher; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Abraham and David; two granddaughters, Jennifer Elaine Hatcher and husband, Michael Bogan; Kristi Susanne Abraham; sister, Ona Pascucci; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Vinton, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Local arrangements are in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
