Earl F. Meddings, passed through Heaven's gates October 6, 2016 after a long battle.

He was a retired coal miner and paramedic. Earl was an avid outdoorsman and a proud member of Genesis Fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Meddings; and parents, Rufus and Ellen Meddings.

Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Joyce Meddings; sisters, Libby Wilson and Charlotte Turner; children, Lorie Meddings-Pisano (Frank), Kimberly Harrison, Angela Baria (Chris), Anthony Lucas (Regina), Tara Sutherland (Greg),Timothy Sutherland, Brittany Hundley; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 9, at Genesis Fellowship with Pastor Mark Jarrell and Pastor Anthony Lucas officiating.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Genesis Fellowship, 4032 MacCorkle Ave, South Charleston, WV 25309.
