Eben Duane White Jr., 78, of Dunbar passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Hubbard Hospice House West in South Charleston after a long illness.

Duane was born in Logan, the son of the late Eben Duane White Sr. and Alice White. The family moved to Dunbar where he was a 1964 graduate of Dunbar High School.  Duane worked more than 40 years in the telecommunications industry.  He was active with the Lions Club for many years, and was a member of both the Dunbar and South Charleston Lions Club.  Duane was a member of Dunbar United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann White, who passed away August 11, 2023.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth A. White; son, Eric White; daughter-in-law, Bridget White; and several four legged grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m on Sunday, September 17 at Dunbar United Methodist Church with Reverend Jarrod Caltrider officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Dunbar United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston, WV 25387.
