Edith Elaine "Toots" Young, 92, of Dunbar went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Lancaster, Ohio.
She was born on July 25, 1922 in Killarney, WV to Cecil and Minnie Neal.
She was a member of Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was an active participant in her husband Bruce's pastoral ministry at various churches in the Charleston area.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved God and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Tammy Carnes and Judy Young.
She is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Charles "Bruce" Young, Sr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Thelma Young in Groveport, OH; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Alanna Young in Cumming, GA; her sister, Frances Lytsell in St. Albans; two nieces; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Dr. John Smith, Pastor John Duffy and Chaplain Homer Fink officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Rock of Ages Prison Ministries, P.O. Box 2308 Cleveland, TN 37320 (www.roapm.com ).
