Edna Mae Brown, 91, of Poca, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her home.
She was retired from Marvin's Motel and was a member of the Upton Creek Community Church. Edna loved to fish and was well know to everyone as "Granny". She sang for many years with the Fernatt Trio.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Harold and Marvin Bishop, daughter, Glenda Cantrell, her great granddaughter, Shana Deann Scarberry and by her parents, James and Daisy Fern Fernatt.
Surviving are her son, Ashley "A. D." Bishop and his wife, Linda of South Charleston and daughter, Barbara Gillispie of Poca; sister, Ruth Clark of Nitro; daughter-in-law, Frances Bishop of St. Albans; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Juanita Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Hometown.
