Edna Virginia Pierce's Obituary
Edna Virginia Pierce, 96, of South Charleston, went home to her mansion in Heaven to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May the 7th, 2013, at Valley Center Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born February 19th, 1917. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bertha Pierce, and seven brothers and sisters.
Ms. Edna retired from G.C. Murphy Co. after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie & husband Ben Henry of Charleston, and Tanis & husband Gary Boggess of Orlando, Fl. and son Larry & wife Dessi Gaye of Michigan City, Ind. Also surviving her are five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held later in the month.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Hospice Care and the wonderful staff at Valley Center for their kindness and compassion during Ms. Edna's time with them.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ms. Edna's name to Hospice Care.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
