Edsel V. Hill's Obituary
Edsel V. "Pete" Hill, 86, of Cross Lanes, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008.
He was a retired accountant with Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. and was a charter member of the Cross Lanes United Methodist Church. Mr. Hill was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 153 and the Masonic Lodge #170. He was also a US Army veteran of WW II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Hill and daughter, Diana Lynn Carter.
He is survived by his son, Richard "Rick" Hill and his wife, Jennifer of Nitro; grandchildren, Scott Carter, Kim Davis and Stephanie and Ashley Hill; two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Gregory Hayes officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites and Military Rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
