Edward Ray Boggess' Obituary
Edward "Ray" Boggess, 78, of Nitro passed away on December 30, 2013 after a short illness.
He retired from Bayer after 30 years of service. Ray was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Othur and Almeda Boggess; and sisters, Reba Harrison and Rosalie Raines.
Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Miller Boggess; son, Gary Boggess and wife Concejo of Nitro; daughter, Veronica Boggess-Ferrell and husband Charles of Nitro; grandchildren, Gary Boggess, Erma Johnson, Brandy Humphrey, and Brandon Cox; great grandchildren, Joseph Humphrey, Hunter Humphrey, Hailey Humphrey, Kyle Rodeo, and Erika Cole.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, January 2 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, January 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Reverend Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
