Edward Gillispie, Jr., 78, of Nitro went home to the Lord on June 8, 2013.

He loved the outdoors and life itself. Edward was retired from Henson Trucking where he worked for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; parents, Edward and Gladys Irene Gillispie; brothers, Donald and Gustie; and sister, Connie.

Edward is survived by his son, Donald and wife Pamela; sisters, Mae Oma, Imogene, and Gladys; grandchildren, Brock and Jacob; niece, Anna Shaffer.

A graveside service will be held at Noon, Friday, June 14 at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Friends and family will call one hour prior to service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help with funeral arrangements.
