Edward Lee Harper, 56, of Dunbar, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at his home, after a long illness.
Edward was a former employee of Tyler Mountain Water. He was a hard worker, but also very devoted to his family. He loved telling stories and enjoyed collecting cars and motorcycles.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Harper, Sr.; and an unborn son.
Surviving are his mother, Maxie Harper; brothers, Rodger Harper, Gary Harper, Hubert Harper, Jr., Thomas Harper, and Calvin Harper; sisters, Margaret Cochran, Terry Smithie, Cathy Barnett, Janet Jenkins, Tina Baldwin, Linda Osman, and Theresa Fields.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Reverend Bill Monk officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Edward loved his hospice nurses and thought of them as family.
