Effie M. Beard's Obituary
Effie M. Beard, 89, of Dunbar, passed away, Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. She was born in Roane County, WV, July 24, 1916, and was a resident of Dunbar, WV for 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Beard, and son, Noel K. Beard.
Mrs. Beard is survived by her daughter and her husband, Mavis and Tandy Asbury, of Palacios, TX; son and his wife, Carl and Cledith Beard of Cross Lanes; grand-children, Jan Piemontese of Berwick, PA, Tandy Asbury of Fraziers Bottom, Ray Asbury of Aransas Pass, TX, Carl Beard, II of Fort Mill, SC, Debra Fields of Cross Lanes; sister, Arlene Tanner of French Creek, WV and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Bowman and the nurses in CCU at Thomas Memorial Hospital and special thanks to Patty Roush, Drema Cunningham and Linda McDade.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Robert Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 25 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
