Obituary

Eleanor Luvada Morris Hudson, 93, of Charleston passed away on August 12, 2014.

Eleanor was a 1938 graduate of Charleston High School. She worked at DuPont during World War II and retired from WV Library Commission-Cultural Center Reference Library in 1985. She enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing, played bridge, and was an avid swimmer. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Charleston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Opal Morris and Presley Wilmot Morris; first husband, James Hudson; and second husband, Stanley Bostic.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Anne Hudson Wills; son-in-law, David Wills; granddaughter, Hayley Wills; her sister, Mary Louise Morris Talman; niece, Melissa Talman Runyan, and nephew, John Talman; her nieces and nephew, Linda Williams, Suzanne Hudson, Timothy Hudson, and their families; her stepchildren, Stanley Bostic, Jr, David Bostic, Martha Bostic Robinson, Barry Bostic, and their families; and many loving friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the past and present staff of Charleston Gardens for their support and care.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, August 20 at First Presbyterian Church, Charleston and will be presided over by Rev. Dr. Richard Lamb. Friends and family attending will enter the church from the Leon Sullivan Way entrance.
