Elizabeth Ashley's Obituary
Elizabeth Evans Ashley, 92, of South Charleston, passed away on July 3, 2013 after a long illness.
She was born October 26, 1920, in Clay County, WV. She was a homemaker and devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ralph R. Ashley who passed away March 6, 1987; and daughter, Barbara Lynn Ashley, who passed on September 26, 2007. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents, Amos Tottle and Jennie Absher Evans; and siblings, Elva Mullins, Leva Nichols, Luther Evans, Farley Evans, Wilbur Evans, Cleo Evans, and Kenny Evans.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, William (Bill) Gale Ashley of South Charleston; daughter, Theresa A. (Terry) Mattox of Emerson, GA; and grandchildren, Douglas and Dawn Ashley of South Charleston, Ellen and Diane Humphreys of Emerson, GA.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Reverend Jim Compton officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 5 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
