Elizabeth Martin, 68, of Dunbar, West Virginia, passed away peacefully after a long illness.

Born in Roswell, New Mexico, to Andrew H. Simpson, Sr. and Mary Ann Casto, Elizabeth moved with her family to Charleston, West Virginia, and later settled in Dunbar, where she spent the most of her life.

Elizabeth had a vibrant personality and a love for creativity.  She enjoyed crafting, painting, and solving puzzles. She also cherished spending time with family and friends.  Although her health challenges led to some isolation in her later years, her warmth and spirit remained with those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Timothy Elijah Kidd, and her grandson, Alexander Lee White.

Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, Ira Lee White of Orlando, FL and Gregory Allen White of Dunbar, West Virginia; brother, Andrew Simpson, Jr. of Dunbar, West Virginia; and her sister, Patricia Henderson-Davis (Clarke) of Ocala, Florida.

The family would like to thank the staff at Coal Grove River Run in Ironton, Ohio, for their compassionate care.

A small family service will be held in her honor.
