Ella Marie Guthrie's Obituary
Ella Marie Guthrie, 80, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
She was retired from the C&P Telephone Company and was a devoted member of the former Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church, now the Dunbar United Methodist Church in Dunbar. Ella was a perfectionist who had a wonderful zest for life and loved gardening. She was a native of Sutton and was a longtime Dunbar resident.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Hud" Guthrie and by her parents, Lona and Austin Cogar.
Surviving are her daughter, Sherry Guthrie of Dunbar and her sister, Anna Lee Walker of Melbourne, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, at the Dunbar United Methodist Church, Myers Avenue Sanctuary, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
