Elvera (Jenny) Lewis of Charleston, beloved daughter of the late James and Elsie Legge Quinn peacefully passed away on June 27, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Jenny was born in Wellsburg on September 30, 1929. She retired from C & P Telephone Company as a supervisor with over thirty years of service. After retiring she took up the art of painting, producing many beautiful works of art.
Jenny will be remembered as a beautiful home decorator and bridge player with various groups of friends. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Carlton L Roby and Richard Hare; one brother and sister-in –law, James (Rita) Quinn of Rock Hill, S.C.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Gene Lewis, who took loving care of her; three daughters, who were the love of her life, Jennifer (Thomas) Mucklow of Martinsburg, Beverly (Greg) Evers of Cross Lanes and Cynthia (Gary) Salzmann of Morgantown; two sisters, Elsie Wolfe and Florence Quinn of Morgantown; brother, Wayne (Charlotte) Quinn of St. Simons Island, GA; six grandchildren, Jonathan & Patrick Mucklow, Gregory William and Whitney Evers and Ashley & Addison Salzmann; and three great grandchildren, Ethan, Elaina, and Zander Evers.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
