Obituary

Emma Holstine Thomas, 71, of Campbells Creek was a Christian and went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2010.

She was a member of Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church at Campbell's Creek. Emma was born in Putney, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Lee Thomas, mother, Estelle Mack Holstine, father, Earl Calvin Holstine and sister, Faye Holstine Reese.

She leaves behind two sons, Marshall Lee Thomas, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Concord, NC and Larry Calvin Thomas and wife Sandra of Matthews, NC; brother, Earl Calvin Holstine and wife Alice of Blount; one sister, Barbara Holstine Skiles and husband Charles of Charleston; two granddaughters, Amber Leann Thomas and Mikayla Marie Thomas. Emma loved her family and both granddaughters were very precious to her.

It is her hope that you might rejoice, rather than mourn; be at peace, rather than be anxious; forgive rather than be unforgivable yourself; and that you might, in knowing her, be drawn to her Lord and Savior. Be comforted during this season of remembering, so that you may be blessed and bless others, giving glory and praise to God for the gift of her life shared with you.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 29, at Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church, 320 Campbells Creek Drive, Charleston, with the Rev. Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
