Eric "E-Mac"
Mcintyre
February 20, 1979 – December 25, 2025
Eric "E-Mac" McIntyre, 46, of Hurricane, WV, tragically passed away on December 25, 2025, following a motorcycle accident.
Born on February 20, 1979, Eric spent his childhood and the majority of his life in Dunbar, West Virginia—a place he was deeply proud to call home. He cherished the lifelong friends he formed during his adolescence, living by the motto "Bulldogs for Life," a phrase that reflected the loyalty and close knit bonds he maintained for more than 30 years. It was those friendships that earned him the nickname "E-Mac," a name that stayed with him into adulthood and was known fondly by many.
E-Mac was well known throughout the downtown Charleston area, having worked as both a bouncer and a cook at several establishments. In 2016, he shifted gears and earned his CDL, later joining Penske Trucking in 2019 as a professional truck driver. In 2024, he was the first employee to earn the "Drive like a Champion" award.
Though much of his time was spent on the road, E-Mac always made room for the people he loved whenever he was home. He found joy in long motorcycle rides, traveling with friends who were more like family, cooking for small gatherings, and reminiscing about old times. He also treasured quieter moments spent relaxing and sharing life with his soulmate, Jannell Dowis Brown.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Margel Cain.
He is survived by his mother, Vickie Hill; his older brother and lifelong friend, Michael Cain and his wife Lisa; a special niece, Ashby Cain; his dearest friend, Clinton Cole and his family; and a host of close friends and extended family members
E-Mac's departure from this world came far too soon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar located at 1236 Myers Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in E-Mac's memory to the Huntington VA.
