Erma Jean Justice was welcomed into the arms of her Shepherd on Friday, February 12, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Erma Faye Vogel.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Justice; her sister, Georgie Shawver, her first husband, Jack Smith and their three daughters, Christina Dillane, Anita Gilmore and Carmen Newman. Erma was blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

As a native of West Virginia and a long time Charleston resident, Erma enjoyed the seasons of each year, always looking for the fingerprint of the Creator and living hope. She wrote many poems in the hope of encouraging others, saying,

"Look up, He's coming!"

"The years scan by, a time to live,

From dust, a time to die, to dust.

Thanks be to God!

In anticipation, I look up!"

A celebration of Erma Jean Justice's life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 15, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. David Bess officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
