Estella "Polly" Jane Audrey Nappier, 86, of Dunbar, embarked on her Heavenly journey, reuniting with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Born on June 14, 1938, to the late Lillian Hunter and OD Dyess, Estella was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, radiating love, warmth, and inspiration to her family.
Estella's heart overflowed with joy, showering affection on her grandchildren, especially Latasha, with whom she shared a special bond. As a dedicated bus driver of 36 years for Kanawha County Schools, Estella spread love, kindness, and inspiration singing sweet melodies on the bus captivating the hearts of the students.
She was a passionate pastor of Church of Deliverance, driven by a calling to guide people to the Lord. Estella's genuine love for humanity made everyone feel special.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Nappier, Sr.; daughter, Terry Nappier; son, Albert Woodson; great-grandson, Jahlil Clement; sister, Henrietta Dyess; and brothers, Orange and Ozell Dyess.
Estella's legacy will continue to inspire generations, leaving behind a family who adored her. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Audrey Powell, Angie Woodson, Treva Preston (Johnny), and Sherry Nappier; sons, Alex Woodson and Howard Nappier, Jr.; sisters, Judith Penn, Sandy Dyess and Sequaya Hunter; only surviving uncle, Sherman Watkins; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Estella's impact on the world will be deeply felt, and her memory a blessing to all who knew her as a shining example of devotion, love, and faith.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at All Nations Revival Center with burial to follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at the All Nations Revival Center.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
