Estelle Taylor Lude, 84, of South Charleston, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House West.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene. Estelle was a good Christian woman who loved life and spent many years caring for children in day cares and also at her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved the outdoors and loved to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Lude, six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her loving children, Edison Chad Lude of South Charleston, Vickie Thomas and Kimberly Peters of South Charleston; her brothers, Jerry Lee Burgess, Butchie Burgess and Dennis Burgess, all of Charleston; sister, Eura Lorene "Go Go" Holtsclaw of Charleston; grandchildren, Shane and Chasity Thomas, Cody and Kaley Peters, Tayla and Brayden Lude and great grandchildren, Kaden and Kensy Thomas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, at the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday , July 20, at the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene.
