Eunice C. Hennen, a devoted Christian and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, went to her heavenly home on January 3, 2026.  Her life was a living testament to her faith, defined by the biblical call to love one's neighbor through tireless service and a compassionate heart.

Born on October 9, 1935, to the late Moses and Deltie Ray, Eunice was known throughout Dunbar for her extraordinary work ethic and kindness. She truly had a "servant's heart," spending countless hours preparing meals for those unable to cook and cleaning homes for those who could no longer care for their own.  Her greatest spiritual gift was caregiving; she dedicated her life to looking after the elderly, a ministry she continued with joy until the age of 83.

Eunice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Cloyd R. Hennen; her sister, Mabel Burdette; and her brother, Billy Ray.  She shared a special bond with her nephew, Tim Ray, and cherished their long, meaningful conversations.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joyce Nicholson (Dana) and Lois Lucas (Bill); her only granddaughter, Amanda Edge (Jason);  and her two precious great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Kiersten and Braden Edge.  She is also is survived by her sister, Ilene Shamblin, and her brothers, Kenneth and Foster Ray.

Eunice lived a life of purpose, and while she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been welcomed with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Billy Lucas officiating.  Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Family will welcome visitors two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
