Obituary

Evelyn Ruth Atkins, of St Albans, peacefully left this world on October 17, 2016 to reside with her Heavenly Father.

She was born in Boone County on December 20, 1929 to Oscar Mose Workman and Mae Belcher Workman.

Ruth was preceded in death by husband, James; daughters, Rebecca and Marilyn; son, Joey; brothers, Ben and Hurl; sister, Faye Kirk.

Left to mourn are daughter, Vicky; grandchildren, Debbie Redd, Jason McGhee, Janna Jadalla, Eric Price; great- grandchildren, Caila, Jonathan, Muhammad, Aya, Omar, Katerina, Gabriel, Jordan and Liam.

She was affectionately known as Nana to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  All of her nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws held a special place in her heart.  She loved her family and only wanted the best for them and would want to remind everyone to love each other and not let distance, time or differences keep you apart.

Thank you to the ER staff at Thomas Hospital for their compassionate care, especially Debbie and Dr. Lafferty.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev.  Leonard May officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Boone County.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
