Everett Lee Marcum passed away surrounded by family on February 25, 2026.

Everett was born on December 8, 2023, to Landon Marcum and Kaylen Surface, joining his brothers Oliver and Atlas.

Everett was a light in everyone's lives. Despite the challenges he faced from birth, he was a fighter. He was full of joy and happiness and had the most beautiful smile anyone had ever seen. He loved all music, playing with his brothers, and living every day to the fullest. He was the sweetest, bravest, most wonderful boy. There are truly not enough words to fully describe how much he meant to everyone in his life.

Everett is survived by his parents, Landon and Kaylen, his twin Oliver, his older brother Atlas; his grandparents, Bobby, Melissa, Tracy, Linda, Terry, and Gary; his aunts and uncle, Chloé, Ethan, and Ryanne; his great-grandparents, Gary, Linda, Kay, Joanna, Eddie, and Edna; and extended family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the incredible medical and nursing staff at CAMC Women and Children's NICU and PICU, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Dr. Chebib, Dr. Keilt, Dr. McGuire, and his therapists, Kim, Heather, Jenna, Julie, and Kelsey for the wonderful care you gave our boy during his life. Everett was deeply loved and will forever be remembered.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at First Baptist Church of Nitro, 2200 2nd Ave, Nitro, WV 25143.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.
