Obituary

Mrs. Fannie Mae Starcher, 87, of Charleston, went to be with her precious Lord and husband, Clifford, Sunday, August 10, 2008.

She was born in Doe Hill, Va., on November 17, 1919 and was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Simmons) Moats.

Fannie was united in marriage on July 21, 1949 to Clifford Orton Starcher, who preceded her in death on August 4, 1977.

Fannie graduated from the WV Rehabilitation Center. She worked at Superior Laundry and retired as a Foster Grandparent, having worked at Mink Shoals, J. E. Robbins Elementary and Stonewall Jackson Middle School.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna Mayfield Evans and her husband, Terrell and Sharon Starcher. She leaves to mourn 9 grandchildren, Angela Mayfield, Dawnell Schofield, Rashele Mayfield, Melissa Lee, Dwight Campbell, Clifford Starcher, Clifton Starcher, April Campbell and Jada Starcher, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
