In Loving Memory of Florenda Russell Hill

Dunbar, WV and Jacksonville, FL mourn the loss of a beloved soul as we remember and celebrate the life of Florenda Russell Hill, who peacefully passed away in Jacksonville, FL in October 2023.

Florenda was a beacon of light in the the lives she touched.

Professionally, Florenda's career was marked by remarkable achievements.  Her unwavering work ethic and remarkable intellect inspired those around her, leaving an indelible impact on her colleagues and the community alike as she was a dedicated worker for the state of West Virginia, serving in 2 Governor administrations.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her beloved family; ex-husband and great friend, Larry Hill of WV; son, Aziz Dewayne Hill, and his life partner Angela DiLeone of Tampa, FL; and her devoted daughter, Denise Hill of WV; cherished sister, Sharon Russell who lives in Jacksonville, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, countless friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Though our hearts ache with the void left by her passing, we find solace in the knowledge that her spirit will forever guide and inspire us.

As we bid farewell to Florenda Russell Hill, we honor her legacy by embracing the love, compassion, and strength  she embodied.  May her beautiful soul forever rest in peace, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to us all.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
