Forest Vernon Noel, of Hurricane, passed away on October 2, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House West in South Charleston.

He was born October 3, 1931 in Dunbar, to Harold H. and Anna Edwards Noel.

Forest was an Army veteran and retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Hurricane.

Forest was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Noel; daughter, Pamela; and sons, Denny and Melford.

He is survived by his son, Clarence; daughters, Ruth and Patty Noel; one granddaughter; two great –grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Wood.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17, at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Hurricane with Rob Laukoter officiating.

A reception will follow the service at the church.
